Natalia's Transformation

To celebrate New Alternatives for Children's 40th anniversary, this video was produced by Paksima Productions to highlight the story of Natalia, who lived the first 9 years of her life in a hospital, until NAC stepped in to support her family in figuring out how to get her home. Get ready to fall in love with the charming Natalia and her sweet family.

At the NAC 40th Anniversary Gala this week, 2.1 million dollars was raised, and special guest Jewel mentioned the video twice in her speech.

I edited the video, did color correction and audio mix. Motion graphics by Josh Coyne.

EXCITING UPDATE: Webby Award nominations

The podcast SOUNDS LIKE HATE received two nominations in the 2022 Webby Awards, including episodes I edited.  I'm bursting with pride!  Episodes from the 2-part series "Fostering Hate" finished in second place in the category "diversity & inclusion", and episodes from the 2-part series "The Unwelcome" made it into the top 5 in the category "news & politics".  If you're unfamiliar with the Webbys (I was!), it's the top industry awards for online content of all kinds.

Bloc Power: bringing green jobs and green energy to underserved communities

I was thrilled to work with producer Jamila Paksima on a series of videos for BlocPower, a company that brings job training, job opportunities and green energy solutions to underserved communities in Brooklyn and beyond. These are just 2 of the videos highlighting aspects of BlocPower's work:

Friends of the Wissahickon

This video produced for Friends of the Wissahickon [FOW] by my collective, Hidden River Films – highlights the benefits of maintaining the Wissahickon Creek park, and FOW's efforts to involve the community. FOW plans to expand its junior stewardship program, and this video is meant as a fund-raising tool for that upcoming project.

Endless Pools: Kozera family

I worked on a series of promotional videos for the company Endless Pools, produced by Mangrove Media, highlighting the Kozera family and the many surprising ways having an Endless Pools pool at their home has enhanced their lives. Their story is pretty awe-inspiring.

FLAX

This meditative video, shot by cinematographer James Wasserman, is a portrait of an innovative project to grow flax in Pennsylvania, with the end goal of creating hand-made linen as a sustainable, local, collaborative small industry.  In summer of 2020, textile artist Heidi Barr and farmer Emma Cunniff seeded a test patch on Emma's farm to see how well it would grow.  See for yourself!  (And get ready to feel blissed out by the gorgeous imagery...)

Prime Healthcare campaigns

I edited a series of short promotional spots produced by L & H Marketing and Sharklo Creative, for Prime Healthcare New Jersey, highlighting their cardiology and stroke care services. Fun fact: I did all the color grading and audio mixing on these, they were soup-to-nuts gigs for me.
